Author Terri Munson aims to leave her mark on the literary world with the publication of her beautiful new children’s book, A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs.

Interwoven with the plot of Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities, Munson’s authorial debut illustrates how frightening the world can be, and as children are intuitive and feed off of the emotions of their parents, the importance of the influence of parents and guardians on their children.

The story follows two young guinea pigs after they are taken away from their mother, turning their world upside-down. After a series of trials and tribulations where the two rely solely on each other for company and warmth, they are finally adopted and brought to the home of a very grateful owner who’s able to provide her new pets with everything they need to be happy and healthy.

Much of A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs spurred from Munson’s own personal experiences and adoration of these pets, “I rescued two guinea pigs a few years ago for my grandchildren to enjoy while they lived with me over the summer. “The Boys” as we affectionately call them, turned out to have very different but equally adorable personalities,” she says

A wonderful title for children that illustrates themes of resilience, bravery, and kindness, A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs, is a powerful and adorable resource for children and younger readers looking for a cute “feel good” story.
