Food Pantry Provides Assistance to Andover Residents

Call to pick up a pre-packed box

Press release

If you need assistance with food, Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry continues to provide nonperishable food items, fresh produce, frozen meat, dairy, and baked goods to residents of Andover, Danbury, Hill, Salisbury, Franklin, Tilton, Northfield, and Sanbornton.  The Pantry is open 9 to 11 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5 to 7 PM on Wednesdays. Please contact Alec with any questions at 934-2662 or info.TRIFP@nullgmail.com.

To register to receive food, we will need a photo ID, verification that you live in one of our eight communities, and income verification for members of your household because our inventory includes USDA commodities.

The Pantry is located in the lower level of 2 Central Street in Franklin, right on the corner across from Benson Auto.  Our entrance is off the parking lot behind the building.  During our service hours, a volunteer will greet you in the parking lot and explain the process.

With the onset of the pandemic, for the safety of our shoppers and volunteers, we reverted to pre-packing boxes to take out to waiting vehicles instead of allowing folks to come inside and use our grocery carts to select food items.   We are very anxious to reopen our doors and put our grocery carts back in use!

In the meantime, you will receive a box of nonperishable food items and boxes or bags that include produce, frozen meat, dairy items, bread, and dessert items.  Quantities of the items are based on the size of your family.  Volunteers will bring the boxes to your vehicle.

We are always seeking volunteers to assist during our service hours and during non-service hours to help with packing boxes and other important tasks.  Consider helping out for a few hours a week!  Financial donations and nonperishable food donations are also welcome.

Our heartfelt thanks to all who have been supporting the Pantry’s efforts with volunteer hours, food donations, financial donations, and encouraging words.  Together, we are nourishing our communities today for a healthier tomorrow!
