The husband-and-wife duo Green Heron will be featured at the Friday, April 16, Andover Community Coffeehouse. The concert will begin at 7 PM via Zoom.

The music of Green Heron stretches across the entire folk landscape: old-time, folk, bluegrass, country, Irish, and blues are all represented as the band brings the back porch to the stage.  Featuring Betsy Heron (formerly Green) on fiddle, banjo, and vocals, and Scott Heron on guitar, banjo, and vocals, the duo has been sharing New England stages together since 2016.

As New Hampshire Magazine wrote, “If there was ever a recipe for treating the ‘pandemic blues,’ it’s listening to the music of Green Heron,” when it featured Green Heron among the “Editor’s Choice” picks for its “Best of 2020” issue.

The April concert will also include several “Open Mic” performers, performing from their own homes.  Local musicians wishing to request a chance to play a song or two can contact the Coffeehouse committee at TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com for more information.

Audience members should contact TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com to request the Zoom link, which will be sent out a day or two before the April 16 event. The concert is free of charge, although viewers may show their appreciation of the performance by making a contribution directly to Green Heron’s online account.

The Andover Community Coffeehouse operates under the umbrella of The Andover Community Hub.  For more information about The Hub or the Coffeehouse, follow The Andover Community Hub and the Andover Community Coffeehouse Facebook pages.
