Are you familiar with all the programs and services Lake Sunapee Region VNA and Hospice (LSRVNA) has to offer, or how to access them if the need arises?
Join Jim Culhane, LSRVNA president and CEO, on Tuesday, May 11, at 3 PM to learn more about this visiting nurse association, which serves individuals of all ages in Andover and 31 other area towns. “We know that the majority of people would rather stay in their home as they age or when they need care, and we’re passionate about making that happen,” says Culhane.
The event, sponsored by the Andover Community Hub, is free and open to the public. Because of the continuing coronavirus pandemic, it will be delivered “live” over the internet to local residents via Zoom. Information and a link to join the session can be gained by sending an email request to TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com.
By attending the event, you will learn the differences between home health care, private care, palliative care, and hospice care; who provides that care; and what preventive services are available – all focused on enabling people to stay in their homes as long as possible.
You will also learn about how local organizations and individuals can help support LSRVNA’s efforts by giving of their “time, talent, and treasure” – that is, by doing volunteer work, by offering information and advice, and by providing financial support.

The event is the fourth in an ongoing Hub-sponsored series aimed at publicizing the work of nonprofits headquartered beyond Andover’s borders that include our town in their coverage areas. Earlier presentations have been made by the Kearsarge Neighborhood Partners, the Kearsarge Council on Aging, and the New Hampshire Children’s Trust.
