Opening of “Tack Room For Becky’s Gift” Exceeds Expectations

Business moved to space in Hub

By Linda Barnes

Tack Room For Becky’s Gift had a very successful opening week last month, with many first-time and previous customers visiting our new home in the Andover Community Hub at 157 Main Street. With spring riding lessons and horse summer camps just around the corner, we delighted in outfitting the wee rider crowd, as well as helping established horse folk find treasures they shouldn’t be without!

We anticipated there would be some adjustment challenges to working in a new space, but the transition to the Hub has been seamless. Most of our customers had never had the opportunity to visit the Hub and absolutely loved the history of the building, as well as the rustic nature of the tack shop.

Our greatest challenge was me trying to navigate how to use our new Square Reader for credit card sales. Thank you to the many customers who helped me figure it out!

Thanks also to Kearsarge area artists Keri Bresaw (painting) and Janice Lalmond Hagan (beaded jewelry) for their donations of two amazing raffle prizes to celebrate Tack Room’s opening. The drawing will be held on Saturday, May 1, with proceeds going to Becky’s Gift Equine Relief for the purpose of assisting horse owners in need.
