In November of 2014, I became Deputy Town Clerk/Tax Collector for the people of Andover, working under the tutelage of Joanna Sumner. Joanna retired in August 2018, and I became Interim Town Clerk/Tax Collector until the elections of March 2019.
Thankfully, you voted me into that position. I have truly loved working for you. Over the years you have gone from acquaintances to friends. We have shared so much of our personal lives, and I will treasure these memories always.
So, it is with some sadness, and of course some excitement, that I have decided to retire effective July 15, 2021. I turned 72 in March and, after a very tough “COVID year,” I feel I need a rest. I have projects at home I want to tackle, books I want to read, and trips I want to take. There are so many places I want to go, and I decided now is the time.
Please welcome Charity Robinson as the new interim Town Clerk/Tax Collector and Lisa Meier as the Deputy Town Clerk/Tax Collector. They are both lovely women, and I know they will work hard for you. Please be patient with them, as there is so much to learn.
My love and best wishes go out to all of you.
