“Highland Lake Safari Tours” Wins Fourth of July Boat Parade

Despite the wet weekend, the Highland Lake Protective Association’s (HLPA) annual Fourth of July boat parade managed to squeeze it in between afternoon and evening monsoon events, and it appears on-shore spectators and parade boat riders alike enjoyed themselves immensely.

This year‘s winner was the Warner family from the North Cove with their boat-themed “Highland Lake Safari Tours.” Our sincere gratitude goes to all participants who decorated their boats under rather gloomy conditions and participated with gusto nevertheless. Let’s hope next year‘s event is sunny and dry as it has been in the past. Caption and photo: Earle Davis
