Donuts and Donkeys are Highlights of Wilmot’s First Donut Festival

At 1 PM on Saturday, October 2, the Road to Independence non-profit group will bring their wonderful donkeys to Wilmot to kick off Wilmot’s first Donut Festival. Anyone is welcome to sit and read to a donkey.

Following this event, at 3 PM, the first annual Donut Festival and contest will take place for amateur bakers. Make your own donuts and bring a dozen to enter in the contest for judging. Entries need to arrive between 1 and 3 PM. Judging will take place at 3:30 PM.

Winners will be awarded in the categories of best overall donut, best non-traditional donut, biggest donut, and the messiest donut. Cider, donuts, and games will be accompanied by music by The Frogz.

This event will take place in the parking lot across from the library at 11 North Wilmot Road. For questions, call the library at 603 526-6804.
