Andover Community Church News September 2022

We're selling food at September Coffeehouse

By Donna Thompson and Bill Blomquist

Another month has come and gone by. We all made it through some of that hot and humid weather. We would also like to remind everyone to be watching for children and school buses as school starts up once again.

We have been busy! And there is no end of the tunnel that I can see, which is awesome. So much going on in the community’s little church.

As I write this, we had just had the Old Time Fair at Potter Place on August 7. We would like to thank the Historical Society for inviting us to participate in this wonderful event. This is the first time we have been to this celebration, and we enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people. We hope to be included in the event next year. All the profit we made from this will go towards the repairs on the Highland Lake Grange Hall.

The month of September has so many activities going on. One way to check this out is to visit AndoverCommunityNH.org. Just cruise around; there is much information there.

On Tuesday, September 13, we will begin a Women’s Life Study. Everyone is welcomed to join the women of the church for dessert, fellowship, study, and prayer. This is a 10-week study. If you would like more information, check the Weekly Bulletin page of our website. There is a place to click to ask the person who is doing the class a question.

Also on September 13, Grief Share will start up again at the Hub in Andover. This 10-week course runs on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and is a support group for those who have lost loved ones recently or in years past. Workbooks are $15.

Deacons Kathy Winkfield and Nancy Phillips will once again be at the helm. This is our second year putting on GriefShare. You can google “GriefShare” for more about the program, or contact us for information for the course in September.

On Friday, September 16, the Andover Coffeehouse will once again start up at the Highland Lake Grange Hall. We look forward to having them back in the Grange Hall. We will be selling a large variety of great food. We are looking forward to seeing all our friends.

If you haven’t been to one of these performances, please come. Check out all the local performers. We will start serving food at 6 PM. The performing will start at 7 PM. Hope to see a lot of new faces; see you there.

On Saturday, September 24, we’ll be having our Rummage/Bake/Pre-made meals sale. We have such a great response to the meals. All the profits we make go to the repairs to the Grange Hall. If you would like more information, you can contact me at 603 744-6858 or CraftyDonna@nullmetrocast.net

Come and see all the new items to purchase (and to eat!). We will have only one more rummage sale this year, in October. The pre-made meals will continue on the last Saturday of the month.

We would also like to remind everyone to get in on the mum fundraiser for the East Andover Village Preschool. This is a great fundraiser for them. You could also call them to ask any questions.

As always, please feel free to call Pastor Bill at 603 735-5160 for any questions you might have, or simply to invite him out for coffee and conversation.

Until next month, stay safe and healthy.
