Watch for holiday fundraiser announcement

Preschoolers love the fall! We collected leaves on the playground and offered scissors and magnifying glasses to promote fine motor skills as well as curiosity and discovery. Adaline and Aaliyah are on the left. On the right are Carter and Liam. Caption and photo: Stephanie D’Amour

We love autumn at EAVP! Nature gives us beautiful opportunities for learning this time of year. We enjoyed making fall wreaths, collecting the leaves, and reading our favorite season books like Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson and The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams.

As the season changes and cold weather rolls in, so does cold and flu season. We’ve been talking with the preschoolers about best practices to keep everyone healthy.

A fun and engaging way to teach children about hand washing is with science! We used Glo Germ on our hands and then washed them under a black light to see how the germs can stay on your hands.

Our circle time becomes a great spot to bring all children together as a community and create conversation for topics like this. We love doing calendar and weather each day, but we also love the organic discussions that can come up.

The holidays are right around the corner, and we have a fantastic fundraiser to help get you ready! Be on the lookout for details, or email EAVP@nulltds.net
