Food Pantry Asks Gardeners to “Sow a Row”

Consider planting extra veggies

By Cheryl Swenson

Are you an enthusiastic home gardener?  Can’t wait to get your hands dirty?  Are you spending the winter looking through seed catalogs and dreaming of your summer vegetable crops?  While you still have the time to plan, please consider planting an extra row or two of vegetables for Twin Rivers Food Pantry in Franklin, which serves our area.

Donations from home gardens are an excellent supplement to the produce we can acquire. Our shoppers get very excited to see a variety of nutritious fresh vegetables when they come to the Pantry. We will happily accept any home garden excess whenever you have it.  Thank you for adding some space in your garden to help feed people in your community.

Twin Rivers Food Pantry serves folks who are in need of assistance with food. Our service hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM – 11 AM, and on Wednesdays from 5 PM – 7 PM.  For questions or concerns please call us at 603 934-2662 or email info.twinrivers@nullgmail.com.  Visit our website at twinriversfoodpantry.org.
