Poet Laurie Zimmerman will read at the Wilmot Public Library on Thursday, April 27, at 7 PM. Zimmerman’s book Bright Exit won the Quercus New Book Award in 2013. An accomplished poet, Zimmerman will share memories of her mentor Donald Hall. She taught English at Proctor Academy for 29 years before retiring, and recently joined the board of At Eagle Pond, Inc..

In addition, Mary Lyn Ray, a founder of At Eagle Pond, Inc., the nonprofit preserving the Wilmot farm where Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon shared a writing life, will provide updates on their work.

Green Up Langley Park!

Celebrate Earth Day, April 22, by getting your hands in the dirt! Green up Langley Park (across Kimpton Brook from the Wilmot library) by trimming brush, weeding, and planting. Donations of annuals and perennials are welcome. Wear gloves! 8:30 to 10:30 AM.
