class.  As an introduction, Mrs. Frost came to our classroom and gave a ‘seminar’ on how to have a healthy heart – exercise, healthy food, and proper sleep.

Parents of the second graders provided healthy food selections after discussing healthy options at home.  The children decorated the classroom, made the menu, decided on pricing, delivered invitations, served the patrons, and cleaned up. By the afternoon, the kids were tired!

We initially made $288.70 and then a generous staff member added the $11.30 to bring our final donation to $300. The second graders unanimously decided to give the money to help children who survived the earthquake and aftershocks along the Syrian/Turkish border.

Children do good works!
