Under NH RSA 230:14 and Public Law 100-17 (Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act of 1987), a public hearing has been set to discuss the proposal to replace two of the existing Red List bridges that carry NH Route 11 over the Northern Rail Trail and over Sucker Brook. This project may impact historical properties.

The venue will be open at 5:30 PM for the inspection of plans by any interested persons.

On March 8, the Governor and Executive Council approved the petition of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to convene a public hearing to determine whether there is an occasion for the laying out of this project and acquiring necessary rights-of-way. A commission of three persons was appointed to conduct the hearing; its members are Vicky Mishcon, Jon Warzocha, and Ken Wells.

This Notice of Public Hearing contains the date, time, and location of the hearing for the petitioners, the owners of land over which the road may pass, and all others interested.  No less than 14 days before the hearing, this notice will be posted in the Town of Andover and a copy will be left with the Town Clerk of Andover.  

Interested landowners, local officials, and highway users are invited to attend the hearing and will have the opportunity to express their comments relative to the project.  Audio of the hearing will be recorded.

Maps, plans, environmental studies, and other pertinent information developed for the Department, along with written reports received because of the coordination with other agencies, are available at the Department of Transportation, at the John O. Morton Building, 7 Hazen Drive, Concord, for inspection and copying.  Please call Tim Dunn, Project Manager, at 603 271-1618, in advance, for an appointment.

Written statements and other exhibits may be submitted to the Chairman of the Commission, c/o William Oldenburg, Director of Project Development, NH Department of Transportation, PO Box 483, Concord, NH 03302-0483, up to the date of the hearing, for inclusion in the official record.
