Nine AE/MS Students Earn Perfect Attendance Recognition

Pizza Chef certificates and ringing the bell

By Jane Slayton, Principal, AE/MS

On the last day of the 2012-13 school year nine students were recognized for perfect attendance. We are not sure if the secret to their success is healthy eating, lots of exercise, or both. They avoided colds, influenza, and injuries. Our congratulations, pride, and amazement was shared with them at an all-school assembly.

The following students did not miss one day of school this year:

Kindergarten: Kayden Fanny

First Grade: Miles Hurlbutt

Second Grade: Brandon Dukette

Third Grade: Michael Miller, Jesse Niemyer

Fourth Grade: Kyleigh Fanny

Fifth Grade: Aidan O’Donnell

Sixth Grade: Ezra Jenifer, Koty Lorden

It should also be mentioned that Aidan O’Donnell has had perfect attendance through fourth and fifth grade, and Kyleigh Fanny has had perfect attendance for three years – kindergarten, third grade, and fourth grade. Brandon Dukette has had perfect attendance for three consecutive years, which is for every year he has been at AE/MS – kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.

The nine students were awarded gift certificates for Pizza Chef. They will share pizza with their families, as perfect attendance requires a family effort. The nine students also have the honor of ringing the Maxwell Savage bell during the Fourth of July festivities.
