Wallace Scott, a US Navy veteran, was honored on October 22 by Lake Sunapee Region VNA and Hospice (LSRVNA) for his military service to our country. Scott enlisted in the Navy in 1944 at the age of 16 and served for three years as a radioman on a torpedo bomber. When asked about his military experience, Scott said he felt strongly supported by his country and that he “was repaid two-fold for his service.”

Wallace Scott was married to his beloved wife Frie for 58 years, living all those years in Andover and enjoying friends and a loving family that includes four children: Ed, Jeff, Chuck, and Elaine. Scott was deeply involved in the Andover community, including the Andover Lions Club, Andover School Board, Andover Congregational Church, Andover Board of Selectmen, the Babe Ruth baseball league, and more.

On November 1, 2013, Wallace Scott passed away under the care of the LSRVNA Hospice Team. We honor his service and his memory, with pride to have been there for Mr. Scott and his family.
