Concert and Silent Dessert Auction Fundraiser

To benefit New Hampshire Telephone Museum

Press release

The New Hampshire Telephone Museum is excited to host its first annual museum fundraiser on Saturday, February 15, at 6:30 PM at the Warner Town Hall. This evening is sponsored in part by the Sugar River Bank and TDS Telecom.

The evening begins with a wine and cheese reception and the opportunity for guests to bid on delicious confections provided by local bakers. Guests will then be treated to the sounds of local musicians The Click Horning Band. Click’s songwriting is second to none, with songs recorded by Bill Staines, Harvey Reid, and Robert John. Audiences are instantly drawn to Click’s warm stage presence, mellow sense of humor, rich vocal quality, and top-notch numbers such as Oh Marie, December Nights, Wildflower, Row Your Own Boat, and Message of Love, to name a few.

In addition to the baked goods, the museum will auction off a free home cooking lesson by Corey Fletcher, Executive Chef at the Centennial Hotel and The Granite Restaurant and Bar in Concord. This event, which we hope will become an annual event, raises money for the Telephone Museum’s programming and exhibits.

Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased ahead by calling 456-2234 or e-mailing info@nullNHTelephoneMuseum.com. Bring a group and get a table for eight for only $70.

The New Hampshire Telephone Museum seeks to inspire curiosity by engaging a broad public audience in exhibitions and programs based on its remarkable and expanding collection. The Museum preserves the past and tells the stories of the telecommunications industry. It opened to the public in 2005 and has hosted over 8,000 visitors who have enjoyed the nearly 1,000 artifacts on display. The museum features the collection of Alderic O. “Dick” Violette of Warner.
