The Andover Blue Team won the 2014 Kearsarge Valley Minors Division Championship.
Andover ended the regular season with a 10-1 record and began the playoffs as the #2 seed. After a convincing win against Bradford, Andover struggled but got a win against New London by the score of 3-2, which put them in the championship game against Sunapee.
Colby Jones and Jesse Niemyer dominated the opponents all year from the mound, and the championship game was no different. Colby and Jesse kept the Sunapee hitters at bay, while Andover’s offense pounded out hit after hit.
To start the fourth inning, Sunapee was on the attack and loaded the bases with two outs before Brandon Dukette made a great catch in center field to get Andover out of trouble. Then Andover Blue took care of business and pulled out the win, a convincing 11-0 victory.
We are very proud of the way the boys carried themselves and the effort that they have put forth to deserve this championship as a team. Way to go boys, and good luck next season!
