Ruth May (Peters) Courtemanche, 78, a resident of Franklin, died on June 30, 2014, at Concord Hospital following a period of failing health. Ruth was born in Wilmot on April 15, 1936, daughter of the late Fred and Hazel (Cilley) Peters. She spent her youth in Andover and was a graduate of Andover High School, class of 1954.
She had resided in Franklin for over 60 years. She was employed for over 23 years in the laundry department at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, retiring as supervisor. Ruth was a former member of the Franklin Emblem Club and the Lakes Region Snowmobile Club.
Her family includes her husband of 58 years, Paul G. Courtemanche of Franklin, her daughter, Carol A. Courtemanche of Northfield, sons David W. Courtemanche of Westport, Massachusetts, and Kevin J. Courtemanche and his wife, Regina, of Belmont, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her brother, Robert E. Peters of Andover, her sister, Helen M. Hardy of Franklin, nieces, and nephews.
