Big Upgrades to EAVP’s Playground

Still registering for the new school year

By Elizabeth Janvrin, EAVP Director

Summer camp at the East Andover Village Preschool (EAVP) is in full swing. We have welcomed new friends and teachers.

We have celebrated America’s birthday and taken a trip to outer space. We have transformed into mad scientists and explored a variety of recipes and materials to create bouncy balls and magic potions.

All of us entered training to learn how to be secret agents and superheroes. Recently, we took a trip to the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium to view a show about space from the Magic Treehouse series and to explore the hands-on stations for a more in-depth look at space. We have plans to visit Pizza Chef and to see Musicville at the New London Barn Playhouse for other trips.

Every Tuesday, our summer group has joined Ms. Gail at the Bachelder Library for story time, during which we read stories and participate in a corresponding activity or craft.

If you have passed by the school recently, you have probably noticed the construction occurring on our playground. We have updated our sandbox and swings. We have added a hill with a climbing wall and a bike track. All of the children are very excited for the new outside activities and have especially enjoyed running races down the hill.

Our 2014-2015 school year is quickly approaching. If you are looking to enroll in a preschool program, contact Elizabeth at EAVP@nulltds.net or 735-5105 for more information.
