In early June, a panel of experts was invited to speak to concerned citizens of Andover about cancer rates in New Hampshire; how cancer statistics are gathered and analyzed; and what is being done in terms of education and outreach to communities. This panel was very informative and answered many questions from the audience throughout the presentation.
The town of Andover requested that the New Hampshire state epidemiologist undertake an investigation to find out if rates of cancer in Andover are higher than other towns around the state. The experts have been working on this report and will be presenting their findings to any interested citizens on Wednesday, October 22, at 7 PM at the Proctor Stone Chapel.
