Natural Burial Movement Presented in New London Talk

Friday, November 7, at Tracy Library

Press release

Learn about the emerging green burial movement that is changing the way we do death in America.

Green or natural burial is the age-old practice of burying in biodegradable caskets or shrouds, without impediments to decomposition such as cement vaults or toxic chemicals.

In this informative and slightly irreverent presentation, Lee Webster of New Hampshire Funeral Resources, Education and Advocacy will describe the principles of sustainable conservation burial and what we can do to plan for a more planet-friendly ending.

Webster is a member of the Board of Directors of the Green Burial Council, the non-profit that sets standards for green burial in the US and offers certification of green funeral goods and services. She is also the President of the National Home Funeral Alliance.

The presentation is sponsored by the Central New Hampshire Permaculture Group. For more information, contact Candis Whitney at 877-0031.
