Once again the property tax season is upon us. We mailed the 2014 tax bills out on November 25, and payment is due by December 29.

The tax rate change this year: Andover is $21.03. East Andover is $20.76. The equalization rate is 108.8.

This coming year, 2015, will be the first time that we will start mailing semi-annual tax bills. I hope that all of you will find being billed a partial tax bill twice a year easier to manage.

If you would like, you can make partial payments during the year. There are taxpayers who like to pay a little in advance so that the final bill isn’t so daunting. You can pay as much or as little as you wish during the year.

Deputy Town Clerk and Tax Collector

Bonnie Wesley has been hired as my new deputy. I am very excited to have her, as she brings lots of prior office experience, computer knowledge, and a quiet competence that I enjoy. Please stop by to welcome her.

The Town Clerk and Tax Collector’s office will not be open on the last Saturday in December, as it is a holiday weekend.

Have a Happy New Year!
