Our first Bedtime Stories and Book Swap Night was held on January 15. It was organized by Mrs. Hattan and Mrs. Lauster and provided five stations of bedtime stories, activities, and milk and cookies for anyone who wanted to attend.

One group spent the evening listening to “Hedgie” stories by Jan Brett. We read The Hat, Hedgie’s Surprise, and Hedgie Blasts Off. In the photo, Wyatt Carleton is holding an important page of The Hat open to view. In that part, all of the animals took winter hats, scarves, etc. that had blown off the line and put them on their heads … all because the first mitten had blown off the line and gotten caught in Hedgie’s quills.

Ms. Hildebrand’s pet hedgehog, Hanna, was in attendance and was a very polite listener! Everyone enjoyed watching her reactions to being the star of the stories.

It was a great night!
