Raymond L. Davis, 54, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Danbury, passed away in Phoenix on December 30, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 27, 1960, in Franklin to the late Ransom W. and Evelyn M. (Ostrout) Davis Sr.
Raymond attended Newfound Memorial High School in Bristol and then joined the US Army, where he was stationed in Hawaii.
In his younger years he enjoyed skiing at Ragged Mountain Ski Area. He loved music, especially country music, as well as playing his guitar.
He is survived by one sister, Diane Belloir of Franklin; four brothers, Robert E. and wife Alice Davis of Franklin, William W. and wife Boohai Davis of Kent, Washington, Warren G. and wife Wendy Davis of California, and Richard J. and wife Cheryl Davis of Manchester; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Nancy (Brown) Davis of Andover and Chong Davis of North Woodsville.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Ransom W. Davis Jr. and MSgt. Roger C. Davis.
The family would like to thank the many friends and family for their love and support during Ray’s illness and his last days.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 22, from 6 to 8 PM at the Emmons Funeral Home, 115 South Main Street, Bristol. Funeral services with military honors will be on Friday, January 23, at 2 PM in the chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
