The Wilmot Community Association (WCA) and the Wilmot Public Library will offer “Friday Night at the Movies” at 7 PM on March 6 and April 3 at the Red Barn, 64 Village Road in Wilmot. The doors will open at 6:30 PM and the family-friendly movies will start promptly at 7 PM. Admission is free, and refreshments, including popcorn of course, will be available for purchase.
“We are excited about this joint effort to show movies that appeal to children and their parents,” said Susan Nye, administrator of the WCA. Showing the films is possible through a special licensing agreement obtained by the library. “We’re selecting films popular with both children and adults,” said Rosanna Dude, director of the Wilmot Public Library. “Due to our licensing agreement, we can’t release the titles but can drop hints. The movie on March 6 features a lovable ogre and sassy donkey on an adventure-filled road trip. On April 3, an out-of-town visitor (make that way-out-of-town) desperately needs to phone home. You can stop by the library or WCA, check our Web sites or give either of us a call for more information.”

The WCA’s office, in the Red Barn, is open from 9 AM to noon Monday through Thursday and by appointment.
