New London Hospital (NLH) is pleased to announce that its 2015 Caring Student Intern (CSI) Program is scheduled for Monday, April 27 to Thursday, April 30. The CSI program is a four-day course that provides a unique hands-on learning experience for high school students to explore the health care industry and health care career opportunities.

Students will be introduced to various departments throughout the hospital, including both clinical and non-clinical areas. Classes will allow them to interact with health care professionals from the New London Hospital Medical Group, Emergency Department, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Laboratory, Rehab and Sports Medicine, Information Systems, Risk Management, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, and other departments. In addition, the CSI Program will include a CPR re-certification course.

At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to join the volunteer program at NLH if they wish.
