For the past six years, Kearsarge Regional High School has honored those who gave the last full measure of devotion in service to their country during our Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony. In the past, the Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony has highlighted the Korean Conflict, the History of Memorial Day, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Prisoners of War, and those Missing in Action.
This year, Kearsarge Regional High School is focusing on those who provided care to the wounded who had the most need. Our Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony is highlighting all the doctors, nurses, medics, the Army Medical Corps, WAVES (Women Accepted Volunteers for Emergency Service), WACS (Women’s Army Corps), Hospital Corpsmen, Ambulance Drivers, Medevac Pilots, and all those who gave their lives in service to their comrades in arms. Those who often disregard their own safety to take care of the wounded frequently make the ultimate sacrifice, administering to others in their hour of need.
Kearsarge Regional High School would like to graciously extend an invitation to any members of your hospital, office, institution, business, or organization who are veterans or auxiliary members to our Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony to take place on Friday, May 22, from 10:45 to 11:35 AM, with a barbecue to follow.
Please join us in honoring those who sacrificed themselves in service of their colleagues, especially those who ministered to those in their hour of need.
Veterans and auxiliary members who would like to attend the Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony are asked to arrive 10 minutes before the ceremony, park in the visitors’ section at the front of Kearsarge Regional High School, and sign in at our main office. You can RSVP to Curtis C. Roddy at CRoddy@nullKearsarge.org or 927-4261 by Friday, May 15 .
