On May 21, Andover Cemetery Trustee Pat Cutter worked with members of Crosby-Gilbert American Legion Post 101 Lloyd Perreault, Don Clendenen, and Bill Keyser (who is also a cemetery trustee) to put flags on the graves of about 300 veterans in honor of Memorial Day. Of Andover’s 17 cemeteries, 11 of them have at least one veteran buried there.Post 101 has recently been reactivated, and area veterans are encouraged to join. The post is planning to support patriotic holidays and events in the coming year, including a float in Andover’s Fourth of July parade. If you can participate, call Bill Leber at 735-5144. The post meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7 PM at the Masonic Hall in Potter Place. Photo: Charlie Darling
