Wilmot Farmers Market Kicks Off on June 27

Children's Day planned for July 18

Press release

The Wilmot Farmers Market opens its 2015 season on Saturday, June 27, on the Wilmot Town Green. The bandstand on the green is the weekly home to a variety of local musicians, while the education tent will have a changing group of presentations to help expand your knowledge.

Special events are being planned throughout the season, with the first one being Children’s Day on Saturday, July 18. On this day, the Green will be especially kid-friendly, with lots of things for them to see, touch, and do.

Over the next three months, over 20 full-time vendors plus several Wilmot non-profits will offer a wide variety of conventional and organic produce, meats, dairy, honey, maple syrup, jams, jellies, baked goods, body lotions, wool, organic fertilizer, soap, artwork, glasswork, clothing, and handicrafts. For a full list of vendors, musicians, sponsors, and guests at the education tent, please visit WilmotFarmersMarket.com.

Returning Andover vendors this year include Two Mountain Farm and Highland Lake Apple Farm. New to the market this year, Tarte Bakery and Cafe will add the French flair to the market’s international offerings that also include Greek, Italian, and American. Visiting the market will be a weekly trip around the world.

While the market is full of home-grown and hand-crafted products, it is also a place to grab a breakfast sandwich, a yummy treat, and freshly brewed coffee; gather with your neighbors; and listen to the music of area musicians. In the bandstand during July you will find Richard King, Folk Fusion, Brad Myrick, and Lindsey Schust and the Ragged Mountain Band.

The Wilmot Farmers Market is open every Saturday from June 27 to September 26, rain or shine, from 9 AM to noon. If you have any questions or would like to check for available part-time vendor dates, please e-mail Michelle Riordan at Michelle@nullGraftonGlass.com or visit WilmotFarmersMarket.com.
