Andover Girls Play in Blue Storm Lacrosse League

Over 30 girls on U13 and U11 teams

The Blue Storm Girls U13 and Girls U11 teams at Proctor Academy. Proctor was very generous in offering field use to youth lacrosse programs this spring. Among the 30 girls who played were these U11 Andover players: Ada Grotnes, Chloe Colby, Delaney Young, Emily Hackmann, Emma Pine, Ani McIntyre, Mary Clough, and Madison Colby. Merrimack Valley Blue Storm Sports again sponsored boys and girls lacrosse this spring! Just over 30 girls played youth girls lacrosse on the U13 and U11 teams! Andover had 11 girls represented!!! All of the Merrimack Valley towns were represented (Boscawen, Loudon, Penacook, Webster, Salisbury, and Andover). We also had players from Allenstown and Franklin. The season started March 2015 and recently concluded at the year end Lacrosse Festival sponsored by the New Hampshire Youth Lacrosse Association on June 14!

The teams practiced two times per week (practices were held in Andover and Penacook) and played league games on the weekends (mostly Sundays). Andover residents Jill Jones coached the U13 team and Katherine Stearns coached the U11 team during the 2015 season.

The girls lacrosse teams partner with Positive Coaching Alliance to ensure all participants focus on the goals of sportsmanship, learning life lessons and simply having fun! Blue Storm Girls Lacrosse will have U9, U11, and U13 teams in 2016!
