Andover’s American Legion Crosby-Gilbert Post 101 participated in the Fourth of July parade, and the response from those viewing our entry with the new banner and the trailer with members riding was very positive. The many salutes, clapping. and thanks were greatly appreciated. Next year, we hope to have many more members and veterans participating. We were pleased to be involved in the parade after so many inactive years.

Very little start up equipment is available, and we are currently organizing a fund drive to help defray the cost associated with getting the post up and running. To assist in this endeavor, tax free contributions may be made to Andover American Legion Crosby-Gilbert Post 101 and sent to Lloyd M. Perreault, Financial Officer, PO Box 86, East Andover NH 03231. All contributions will be acknowledged in the Beacon at a later date.

The post is actively seeking new members and presently has 21 on the roster. The post meets the third Tuesday of the month at 7 PM at the Main Street Fire Station in Andover. For more information, call Don Clendenen 735-5032 or Bill Leber 735-5144.
