First graders at AE/MS have started to explore educational apps on the 30 iPads that travel around the school building on a mobile cart. During the first week of school, these youngsters were able to make beautiful pieces of pottery, launch rockets solving mathematical equations, and color-by-number pictures, all with the use of an iPad. In this photo, Killian Considine and Paige Orcutt are using an app to review numeration and sequential order. During the next few weeks, the students will be using the iPads to enhance their mathematics program and develop their fact fluency. The iPads were purchased through a combination of grant money and the school budget and are updated regularly by Ms Unger. In addition, the school has a mobile cart of Chromebooks. Photo and caption: Jen Bent
