Philippa Ratzki and Leopoldo Guerra were married on September 6 in an outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents, Mario Ratzki and Caroline Moulton, in East Andover.

The groom’s parents, Leopoldo Guerra and Gloria Naranjo, traveled from Colombia to attend. Vera Broekhuysen, the bride’s oldest childhood, officiated. The ceremony took place in front of open barn doors under an arch of branches and leaves from the farm’s vineyard.

Bride and groom met five years ago in New York City, where they still live and work. On one of their very first dates, Philippa wanted to take a trapeze class, so Leo obliged. Not to be outdone, he suggested skydiving for one of their next dates. Their love of travel and adventure has taken them on many a wild ride since.

Family and friends came from far and wide, hailing from Argentina to Zurich, and everywhere in between. All enjoyed a glorious day of perfect weather, with a cocktail reception and jazz trio in the orchard and a farm-to-table dinner enhanced by a starry sky and candlelight.

Guests went home with a miniature bottle of maple syrup from East Andover’s own Tucker Mountain Maple: a sweet New Hampshire memento.
