Fun for the whole family will be on track starting at 4:30 PM, Sunday, December 13. That’s when the young and young-at-heart can climb aboard the fourth annual Wilmot Express, a town-wide holiday celebration. The Wilmot Express is a joint effort by the Wilmot Community Association (WCA), the Wilmot Volunteer Fire Department, and the Wilmot Public Library.

The first stop – from 4:30 to 5:30 PM – will be at the WCA’s Red Barn at 64 Village Road, next door to the U.S. Post Office in Wilmot Flat. Visit with your friends and neighbors while your children make a holiday craft.

At the second stop – from 5 to 7 PM – enjoy a hearty spaghetti dinner, caroling and tree lighting ceremony at the fire station, 1 Fire House Lane, just off Route 11. John Swindell, a professional photographer based in Wilmot, will take pictures of children with Santa.

At 7 PM Santa will hop on a fire truck, give the call for “all aboard” and travel to the Wilmot Public Library, 11 North Wilmot Road, just off Route 4A in Wilmot Center. The Jolly Old Elf and Mrs. Santa will give each child a special gift and read “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

More information about the Wilmot Express is available on the WCA Web site at wilmotcommunityassociation.org or follow the WCA on Facebook.
