It is almost here…2016. Have you thought about resolutions? The Danbury Winter Farmers Market might just help you with your resolutions. Do you want to eat healthier, live simpler, connect with the farmer that grows your food, help the local economy, enjoy community, and clean out your basement? What? Clean out my basement? Reduce the clutter in my house? How can they do that? Here’s the scoop.
In January, the Grange is hosting a flea market downstairs while the 9th season of the farmers market continues upstairs. They think that people love yard sales no matter what time of the year and right after the holiday people want something to do to beat the post-holiday blues.
Buyers can browse and sellers can rent a table for the day. Only ten dollars for a short table and fifteen for a long table and you can bring your boxes of ” fleas,” white elephants, and “it’s not me” Christmas gifts to be sold at the hall. While upstairs, items need to be made by you, downstairs tables do not. Showcase your business or clear out those boxes from the garage. The choice is yours. Early signups can send pictures to be included on the Web site.
The date is the day after New Years, January 2. Spread the word to your friends and haul them with you to the Grange Hall where they make a mean breakfast sandwich dubbed the “McGranger.”Come support local farms, encourage cottage industries, and put community center stage.
To rent a table, contact Donna @ 768-5579 or e-mail donnaardena@nullgmail.com. Your table rental helps support the farmers market and the Grange’s community service activities.
