This year, in addition to the holiday parties, presents, and eggnog, why not treat your body right and get a little exercise? Join AE/MS as they participate in the second annual Holiday Exercise Streaking Revolution!
It’s simple: starting on Thanksgiving Day, exercise for the equivalent of a one-mile run every day until New Year’s Day. That’s 37 consecutive days of moving one mile.
Alternatives to running include walking, swimming, biking, hiking, or roller skating – but be creative! December might reward you with many one-mile shoveling opportunities – the point is to move.

Complete your mile early in the day. Not only will you feel better, but the sun goes down early at this time of year in New England!
Keep track of your progress. Using your daily calendar, simply check off every day that you complete one mile. The goal is to have 37 consecutive check marks. The reward? Great satisfaction!
What if you miss a day? No worries: start again the next day. If you’d like a special green AE/MS calendar page to tape on the fridge, I’m sure they would oblige.
