Have you ever thought about using Facebook to connect with family, friends, business customers, or organization members – but weren’t sure how it works or how to get started? Then this workshop is for you.

On Wednesday, March 16, starting at 6 PM, the Andover Institute and the Andover Elementary/Middle School (AE/MS) will co-sponsor a workshop on “Creating Your Own Facebook Page” at the AE/MS computer lab. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Heidi Unger, Technology Integrator at the school, and first-grade teacher Jennifer Bent will help participants create their own Facebook page and discuss various settings to allow them to share photos and messages while at the same time maximizing their privacy. Attendees may bring their own laptops or make use of the school’s desktop computers.

“Facebook is a great way to communicate quickly and simply with a variety of audiences – family members, customers, members of various groups – located anywhere around the world – and to share photos and have quick access to your favorite sources of information,” workshop organizer Jay Fitzpatrick said. “The Andover Institute is excited to partner with AE/MS to offer this program to the public.”

Enrollment in this workshop is limited to about 15 people, so seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
