The result of a decade of research, Warner author Larry Sullivan’s 326-page book, “Mount Kearsarge: History, Stories, Legends and Folktales,” is now available for sale at the Andover Historical Society’s JC Emons Store in Potter Place. The book’s chapters on the area’s geological and human history offer a treasure trove of stories, folktales, and recollections of generations of residents and visitors, making it a bestseller in local bookstores since its 2015 publication. Cost for a copy (autographed by both Sullivan and his artist wife, Mimi Wiggin, whose works appear throughout the book) is $29.95. Proceeds are divided between the Andover and Warner Historical Societies. The store and nearby Potter Place railroad station, also owned by the Andover Historical Society, are open to visitors during the summer on weekends from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Hours are Saturday between 10 AM and 3 PM, and Sunday between 12:30 and 3 PM. Caption and photo: Larry Chase
