A Look at Ways to Make Your Soil Healthy

On Monday, September 12, from 6:30 to 8 PM, Stacy Luke, the Merrimack County Conservation District manager, will present “Got Healthy Soils? A Look at Ways to Make Your Soil Healthy.”

The workshop will be held at the Boscawen Municipal Complex, fourth floor, 116 North Main Street in Boscawen. It is co-sponsored by the Boscawen Agriculture Commission, the UNH Cooperative Extension, and the Merrimack County Conservation District.

Stacy will discuss the Soil Health Initiative, different ways to improve your soil health, and different soil test equipment to improve your soils for a better harvest. Come try the penetrometer to test soil compaction. Three copies of the book Building Soils will be raffled off at the event.
