Spread the word! We are looking for people with personal stories of attending a one-room schoolhouse. For history’s sake, please come!

The Tucker Mountain One-Room Schoolhouse will be open for visitors on Sunday, September 11, from 1 to 3 PM. If you or someone you know attended a one-room schoolhouse, please come and share your memories. It would be wonderful to record first-hand accounts of what it was like to be a student in a one-room school.

September is a perfect time of year to “go back to school” and reminisce of the school days of long ago. There will be a video recording made to add to the archives of the Andover Historical Society. Come listen. Come share. Everyone is welcome.

Artifacts of period textbooks, copybooks, ink wells, lunch buckets, and more will be on display. Andover Historical Society 2017 Calendars will be on sale, as well as greeting cards of the school. Refreshments will be served. For more information, please call 735-5586.
