John F. Kennedy spoke about reducing taxes and increasing revenues. The New Hampshire legislature has proven its accuracy, and the result is an additional $80 million collected in tax revenues. If revenue projections hold, then businesses can look forward to more tax reduction in 2017.

The legislature needs to address the over-abundance of business regulations, including health insurance mandates, in order to be competitive, and I will work to do just that, thereby making New Hampshire more business-friendly.

Common Core is a failed program that doesn’t improved learning. I support choice in education, getting us out from under these burdensome standards, and allowing families, regardless of income, to choose the best learning environment for their children. We are not a one-size fits all society. Parents find it nearly impossible to work with their children. This program is decidedly anti-family.

New Hampshire’s First in the Nation status brings with it a responsibility that our elections are fair and reliable. We cannot fly on a plane, cash a check, or drive a car without a valid ID. How does that make sense that a person doesn’t have to show a valid ID or, according to the New Hampshire Supreme Court decision, doesn’t even have to be a resident of New Hampshire to vote here? This is wrong, and I will work to change this.
