Senior Luncheons Resuming at WCA’s Red Barn

Starting Thursday, October 20 at 11:30 AM

The 2016-2017 Wilmot Senior Luncheon schedule will begin with the first of six luncheons at the Wilmot Community Association’s (WCA) Red Barn at 11:30 AM on Thursday, October 20.

The Wilmot Ladies Aid Society is sponsoring these popular outings in conjunction with the WCA and Community Action Program (CAP) in Concord, which provides food and support services for seniors in Belkap and Merrimack counties. Luncheons will continue through March 2017.

Door prizes will be given out, and fun entertainment will follow the meal. This month, Susan Cancio-Bello of Folk Fusion, who sang the National Anthem at the season-opener Red Sox game at Fenway Park on May 21, will sing show tunes and other songs for everyone’s pleasure.

First time attendees wanting to enjoy a hot lunch, the camaraderie of other seniors and an occasional short program are requested to call Margaret at 768-3805 by October 13. Seniors who have attended before during the 2015-2016 season will be contacted prior to the luncheon. Reservations are required for each luncheon.

The WCA Red Barn is located at 64 Village Road next to the Wilmot Post Office in Wilmot Flat. Parking is available in the WCA’s upper parking lot, the Wilmot Baptist Church and across the street.
