My name is Michael Cryans and I am running for the Executive Council. Three of my primary issues are:
1) The Planned Parenthood contract: I will vote for this; my opponent has voted against it. Planned Parenthood offers annual exams, affordable birth control, and cancer screenings to over 12,000 women in the district.
2) Medicaid Expansion: I will vote for this; my opponent voted against it. This program offers coverage to 50,000 residents who now do not need to use the emergency room as their primary health source, and they have the comfort of knowing they have insurance coverage.
3) I will work to combat the heroin epidemic. For over 10 years I ran a substance abuse non-profit, and I will use that background to help those who are addicted.
I live in Hanover with my wife Julie, and I am a father of two sons – Cameron, who lives in Colorado with my two grandchildren, and Connor, a sophomore at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont.
My passion is running. I run every day and have run over 90,000 miles over the last 26 years, including Andover’s Firecracker 5K on the Fourth of July.
I promise to you I will work diligently each and every day as I have been doing over the past 19 years as a Grafton County Commissioner. I want to be your voice in Concord, bringing Concord back to this vast district of 108 towns and four cities.
I ask you for your vote. Thank you.
