I have been a full-time resident of Andover since 1990, now living at the farm my parents purchased in 1951. For most of my adult life I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats, since both parties worked together in the past to represent all residents. Our representatives back then did not have an ideology other than to be frugal and make New Hampshire a great state. I hope to continue in that tradition.
I worked for 29 years at the Department of Health and Human Services, with the last five years as the Director of Family Assistance. That experience, plus my subsequent advocating for children at the Children’s Alliance of New Hampshire, gives me a practical understanding of how New Hampshire state government works.
Locally, I have been involved with the Andover Historical Society, the Andover Master Plan draft committee, The Andover Beacon, and am currently on the Andover Conservation Commission.
I support:
- Medicaid expansion that has helped over 50,000 people
- Funding Planned Parenthood. I know from experience how their services have helped New Hampshire families.
- Increasing the minimum wage so that working full time can provide a modest standard of living in New Hampshire
If elected I will:
- Place a priority on lowering property taxes
- Use my experience to improve the health and well-being of New Hampshire residents
- Continue to work with towns on roads, bridges, and Internet access
- Stand up for public education
- Protect the natural resources of New Hampshire and promote renewable energy
I ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 8. Thank you. For more information, contact ElectBroshek@nullgmail.com.
