“Hope is Born”

Concerts in Gilford, Franklin, and Plymouth

The Pemigewasset Choral Society invites you to join us for our 43rd. Fall Concert Series. Under the direction of Leslie McDonnell and assistant director William Gunn, with pianist Laura Belanger, our program, titled Hope is Born, includes music from Praetorius, a1947 spiritual, Ola Gjeilo, and features Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols. We cannot live without hope. Hope whispers encouragement to move forward and realize our dreams. Join us in celebration of the unique hope that was born more than 2,000 years ago.

The Pemi Choral Society has members throughout New Hampshire, from as far north as North Woodstock, and as far south as Nashua, including Mary Lloyd-Evans and Donovan Freeman of East Andover.

The concert will be performed at three area venues: Thursday, December 8 at 7:30 PM at Gilford Community Church (admission by donation); on Friday, December 9 at 7:30 PM at St Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Franklin (admission by donation); and on Sunday, December 11, at 3 PM at the Hanaway Theatre at Plymouth State University. Tickets for the Plymouth performance are available in advance by calling 535 ARTS. Any remaining tickets will be at the door.
