The New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is pleased to announce the opening of a new DMV location in Newport on Monday, October 3. The new office, located at 20 North Main Street in downtown Newport, will provide a full range of services. The opening coincides with the closing of the current Claremont DMV office at the end of the business day on Friday, September 30.

The new location will have a larger lobby, more customer parking, and offer motorcycle testing on-site. “We are looking forward to serving our customers at the new Newport location,” DMV Director Elizabeth Bielecki said. “We are excited to expand our services to include on-site motorcycle testing and anticipate our customers will find it both convenient and efficient while they complete their DMV business.”

Hours of operation for the new location will remain the same: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

The DMV always encourages its customers to visit the DMV Web site at   nh.gov/dmv for a detailed listing of services by location as well as availability of forms and documents that can be completed ahead of the visit.
