The Salisbury, Andover and Webster Fire Explorer Post is hosting a “St. Baldrick’s” event on Sunday, March 25 to raise money for the fight against childhood cancer. The event begins at 1 PM. at the Salisbury Fire Station.
All area firefighters have been invited to solicit sponsors who are willing to give a donation to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. The firefighter will have his or her head shaved at the event by a licensed hair care professional under the direction of Meghan Barton.
Proctor Academy had sponsored similar events in the past which raised significant amounts of money for fighting cancer. When Proctor discontinued the event, the Explorer Post took up the challenge.
You don’t have to be a firefighter to participate. Just line up some sponsors and show up on Sunday. For more information on the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, visit www. stbaldricks.org.
Participants in the St. Baldrick’s event will receive a T-Shirt with this new logo.
