The THE BAND Band  will perform a Tribute to THE BAND as they
celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Music From Big Pink on Friday, June
15, 2018 at 7:30 PM. Doors will  open at 6 PM at Flying Monkey Movie House
& Performance Center, 39 South Main Street, Plymouth, NH 03264.

While iconic roots rock group, THE BAND may be long gone from the stage, The
THE BAND Band is keeping their sound and spirit alive and well with
authentic, true-to-form renditions of the legendary repertoire.   This group
of veteran musicians showcases the astounding breadth and depth of THE
BAND’s distinctively original Americana music with classics such as Up on
Cripple Creek, The Weight and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, as well
as deeper cuts from THE BAND’s vast catalog.  The The THE BAND Band draws
their set list from THE BAND’s seminal period – from Big Pink to The Last
Waltz – capturing the sound and spirit of their live performances and
bringing the songs to life again.

For this special show, The THE BAND Band will celebrate the 50th
Anniversary of  THE BAND’s 1968 album “Music From Big Pink”.  THE BAND’S
iconic debut album, named for the house in upstate New York where many of
the songs were written, established THE BAND as one of the preeminent bands
of their generation, and forged a new sound in rock and roll that would come
to be known as Americana. Many of their best known songs are on Music From
Big Pink, including The Weight, Chest Fever, and I Shall Be Released.
In addition, their musical partnership with Bob Dylan is on full display,
including 3 Dylan-penned songs and featuring his painting on the album
cover.
