June is a month when many of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are graduating. This poem was in the 1941 graduation issue of the Blue and White Banner, our school newspaper. The message is relevant today as it was in 1941.
“You are the person that has to decide, whether you’ll do it or toss it aside. You are the person who makes up your mind, whether you lead or will linger behind. Whether you’ll try for the goal that’s afar or just be content to stay where you are. Take it or leave it, here’s something to do. Just think it over it’s all up to you.” written by Edgar A. Guest
Come join us on Saturday, July 7 at 10 AM for our annual reunion and we can talk over old times and the graduates in the family. Anyone who attended Andover High School for any amount of time is welcome.
We will be meeting at the Grange Hall on Chase Hill Road in East Andover N.H. AEMS is undergoing extensive renovations and is not available this year. The grange is handicap accessible. We will follow the usual schedule of visiting, meeting and pictures in the morning and a pot luck lunch around noon. Bring your own chair, beverage and memories.
